Great session that one should do earlier rather than later

New upgrade portal will not recognise my member number, password change functionality is not working. It is completely non functional. Have tried calling for days, but wait queue is hours. Expect more after tolerating a months long complete shutdown of access to information about funds while upgrade occurred.

As a long time NGS Super member it's quite disappointing after their latest update to their member portal. No access to funds and now that it's live the re-registration doesn't work, when trying to access their portal its just constantly stuck on "Loading Member online...". Maybe time to look for an alternative fund.

An awful superannuation fund with unethical investment, poor returns and awful customer service. I called to try and cancel my account and the representative refused me. Go with Australian Ethical instead, a far superior fund.

Don’t bother applying for early access of super for any surgery. They will make an already confusing and scary time as hard as they possibly can. Getting approved from the ATO, pfft easy. It’s obvious BIG DADDY NGS don’t want to loose the interest or fees they earn from keeping your super. Most super fun these days allow you to submit documents including identity documents directly to the Superfund via their website or email. Not NGS, They force you to get certified copies at and then you have to send it into them. My Australia Post express arrived at 6:20 am in their PO Box, But they checked the PO Box at 6:00 am, So I had to waste an additional day just for them to open in the PO box, and scan my documents in. It took two days for them to do that, Then they claim that my drivers license been expired was not a correct form of ID despite service New South Wales telling my Drivers license Is valid for two years. But no NGS have “processes” As they call it. As far as I’m concerned if the ATO approves a release They are to do them as they are told and release the funds as requested. Well not only will I get my early realise, but I’ll take every last cent from NGS or any super fund under the Mercer group and go with an alternative provider that has correct and modern structure and policies. Avoid this mob and any organisation under Mercer like the plague. Remember, our super is OUR money. And yes, usually it is supposed to be for retirement, but you know When you may have to access it early for a medical procedure, And having to deal with People like this It’s completely unacceptable. They do not run the world even though they may think that they do.
