Operated by Selim Akcan, Find Financial Adviser AU (findfinancialadviserau.com) is a directory for locating financial advisers, planners and superannuation specialists. Nothing on this site is personal financial advice, and this statement should not be read as such — it only describes our privacy practices, which follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

(a) What we automatically collect. Visiting this website causes our servers to log your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. This is standard technical data retained for security and performance monitoring.

(b) What we do not collect. We do not operate enquiry forms that capture your financial circumstances, and we never ask visitors to disclose income, assets or investment details.

(c) Adviser listings. Profiles for financial advisers and superannuation consultants — practice name, address, phone number, opening hours and reviews — are drawn from publicly available Google Maps information. Before engaging an adviser, check that they hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) or are an authorised representative of one, using ASIC's Financial Advisers Register (moneysmart.gov.au or asic.gov.au). We do not verify licensing ourselves.

(d) Corrections. An adviser who wants a profile corrected or removed should email [email protected].

(e) Advertising. Google and other advertising partners may place cookies to personalise the ads displayed on this site. Manage your preferences at adssettings.google.com, or disable cookies in your browser without losing access to the directory.

(f) Your rights. You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Complaints not resolved to your satisfaction may be referred to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

(g) Other websites. Links to advisers' own websites and to Google Maps lead to independently operated services with their own privacy terms.
