I don't think any company has such shocking customer service as this.
Aware Super (formerly State Super) had all of my superannuation accumulation fund for decades. Whilst in accumulation phase advice is free however the first comprehensive advice following retirement cost me almost $3,000. Less than 2 years later I sought, what I considered reasonable follow up information in preparation for a pension application. They wanted a further $4,000 in advice fees as, despite my objections, they considered this to be separate comprehensive advice. The fees for advice once you have retired are just exorbitant and I have taken my retirement savings elsewhere.
I waited 11/2 hours then the phone dropped out.
Terrible super fund. Terrible performance. No help at all.
Be aware my medical information is confidential, revise the Privacy Act 1988, shame that you are complicit in the medical apartheid, I will be advising others of your descriminate behaviour.
My wife and I were invested in an allocated pension with stateplus for 8 years. In most if not all those years the fund did not perform as advertised, and even though we were paying $15000 per year in fees we still had to organise and ask for a yearly interview , since hearing the evidence at the Royal Commission I suggest everyone invested with StatePlus check their fees and what they're getting for them and do some comparisons. My wife and I have changed funds recently and believe we are now much better served for less fees.
