What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Adelaide members of this superannuation fund describe sharply divided experiences, with front-counter service generally praised and administration processes drawing sustained frustration. Positive accounts focus on staff at the city office, who are described as knowledgeable and confident when answering questions, able to resolve issues straightaway and handle an unusual situation with patience and understanding across a few phone calls. The financial advice and planning service also draws favourable comment for its transparent fee structure, with customers reporting satisfaction at having no unexpected charges deducted from their balances. Recurring criticism centres on claims and complaints handling.

Members describe lengthy waits on hold, repeated requests for documents already supplied, and delays of several business days before a case manager makes contact. Escalating time-critical matters is described as difficult, with emails reportedly going unanswered and one member visiting the office in person after failing to reach the claims team remotely. Reviewers characterise the overall administration experience as slow and at times dismissive, contrasting it with the helpful reception received at the counter. The pattern that emerges is of capable face-to-face assistance undermined by slow behind-the-scenes processes, a theme that runs through both the praise and the complaints.

Do not recommend- claiming due to death , call takers have no idea what has or hasn’t been done , no communication at all from CBUS claims manager unless I call / email .. I’m always given the wrong advice from them right from the start . 3 months in and it’s all dragged out as well , they have no respect for anyone grieving. I would give them no starts if I could

Customer service are absolutely useless!! Some feedback for management would be to give the staff a list of what is required instead of going back and forth 100 times requesting new documents each time.

Cbus created an account in my name without my permission, without my signature and refuses to give me my money back. I believe that would fall under fraud if a citizen did that.

You cant escalate you issues or claims without waiting 5-7 business days which is useless when its time critical. The complaints department is also a 5-7 day waiting time. theyre stuck in the 1980's without online forms or online verification methods. lots of time waiting on hold
